"Through the looking glass" serves as both a metaphorical and visual exploration of transformation. It holds tension between order and fluidity, permanence and impermanence—encouraging viewers to embrace the unknown and imagine their path through shifting landscapes of thought, memory, and possibility. By combining realism and abstraction, it creates an accessible entry point as it invites dialogue, and serves as a contemplative focal point—a metaphorical “looking glass” for shared reflection and conversation, encouraging personal and collective interpretation, as boldness lies in its ambiguity. This glass is something that I grew up looking through, creating imaginative images from the distorted perspective of life from behind the glass. It pays homage to moments of creativity that festered within me at a young age.
